ACTS Retreats

The members of the ACTS Retreat Ministry strive to assist members of St. Joseph Parish family to attain a deeper relationship with our Lord and with fellow parishioners through ACTS Retreat Weekends. These weekends are 3-day retreats planned and led by a team of lay persons and patterned after the description of the early church in the Acts of the Apostles (Acts 2:42-47). The purpose is to invite the retreatant to a new relationship with our Lord through: Adoration – Prayer Life, Community – loving and caring for each other, Theology – study of the faith through scripture, and Service – to God, each other and our parish family.

Prior Retreatants’ Experiences

This was an amazing journey! This was something that I definitely needed. It was a life changing event for me. I was able to see the path the God had paved for me, a path I never knew was there! This retreat was a defining moment in my life that totally changed the way I am with My Lord and Savior as well as my family!
— Christopher T.
I can’t even explain it! The joy that I feel after this! The power that has come over me and given me a new beginning! I was lost and now I’m found. I was broken and now I’m new! The things I never knew, the community I have found in my new Brothers in Christ! I am home and I am with God! This retreat has been the best thing in my life and now the lives of my family because of my transformation to be greater!
— Jorge T.
The ACTS retreat was as new and unique an experience as it can be. I received so many blessings and graces. . . I can say that I came out of the retreat with a better awareness of myself, as to where I am in my spiritual journey, my relationship with God, my loved ones, neighbors and others… From the weekend, I think I also have a better understanding of the Body of Christ in my heart, and not only in my head.
